Allow the Yukon and stand to cool completely before cleaning, moving or covering them. After each use, remove fully cooled ash and combustion residue from the interior, ensuring that the lower and upper ventilation openings remain unobstructed for proper airflow; always confirm that no live embers remain before disposing of ash. Wipe the stainless-steel exterior with a soft dry or slightly damp cloth and, when necessary, use a cleaner suitable for stainless steel, avoiding steel wool, abrasive pads, bleach, chlorine-based products and aggressive chemicals. High temperatures can naturally create discolouration or patina on stainless steel over time and this does not necessarily affect performance. Use dry, seasoned firewood to encourage cleaner combustion and minimise excessive smoke and residue. Avoid extinguishing the fire with water except in an emergency, as sudden temperature changes can cause thermal stress to the metal. Periodically inspect the ventilation openings, body and stand and remove accumulated dirt or debris.
