Allow the kamado to cool down completely before cleaning. Remove ashes regularly from the firebox and chip feeder to maintain proper airflow and cooking performance. Clean ceramic surfaces with a soft cloth or brush, avoiding the use of harsh chemicals or water inside the hot ceramic structure. Cast iron components should be cleaned and lightly oiled after use to prevent rust, while stainless steel parts can be wiped with a damp cloth and dried immediately. Do not expose the unit to sudden temperature changes or impact due to the fragile nature of ceramic material. Protect LED lights in the handle from direct water contact. When not in use, store the kamado covered and in a dry, protected area to preserve all components including the Smart Grid System, chip feeder system and BBQ Guru connection ports.
