This removes oxygen from the flame and prevents smoke (from the burning cotton wick) from lingering in the atmosphere.

Use the wick trimmer to keep the wick at the ideal length for a clean, even burn. Extinguish the flame safely with the candle snuffer to avoid smoke and splattering. Adjust and straighten the wick with the wick dipper after each use. Keep tools clean and dry after use. Store in a safe place, away from children.
